Smurfs 2 for DS follows a different gameplay line.
Gameplay consists of the Storybook and Mini-Games which work very well. Mini-games aren't bad at all and are very fun for their arcade like gratitude. controls rely on the touchscreen/stylus so no use of buttons. Not much to this game but content is decent and mini-games work quite well. It's not like the console versions that's for sure but for a DS game, gameplay is playable and mini-games truly are fun. The storybook is interactive and by the looks of this game it could have been developed for iOS and Android systems as this game fails to be hardcore enough to exceed the limits on the apps.
Graphics and sounds are basically less than the quality of console versions but for a DS game they are just fine. Graphics and sounds would have been much better had this been developed for iOS and Android systems.
This is just one of those games that can be easily developed for iOS and Android systems and serve as inspiration for more games like this.

The Smurfs 2 Video Game review
A Platforming game for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo DS.
The Smurfs 2 is now a platforming game which follows the Smurf series. Unlike the last party pooper game known as Smurfs Dance Party for the Wii. The Smurfs 2 however has much better gameplay since it is a platformer, which is the best kind of game to be based off a kids movie.
What gameplay does Smurfs 2 have? Well, you can select several different characters and more are unlockable as you collect golden coins. This follows many of Super Mario Bros. concepts. Examples include collecting blueberries and stomping on enemies to free them from Gargamel's spell. The Smurfs must stop Gargamel and save Smurfdom. Every Smurf has their own abilities and you earn points based on berries collected, and coins collected as well for examples. There are several different environments to play each having 5 levels. This game has variety and that's very good for a game. You have the option of having four players with the Wii U edition having not only four players but an extra one to facilitate cooperative gameplay like in New Super Mario Bros. U. Players can select which Smurf to play as. This wasn't possible in New Super Mario Bros. U as the first player had to play as Mario. At least that made sense since Mario and Luigi are the stars of the Super Mario Bros. franchise. Also, when an enemy hits you, you lose all your berries which is a downer but at least you don't need to restart the level and neither are their limited amount of lives.
Graphics follow the graphics of the movie. The character designs are perfect. The overall display is great but HD technology makes them even better. You'll notice the clear cut difference when you play it on Wii U and PS3 vs. Xbox 360 and Wii. What is also great is the controls which work perfectly. There aren't many control functions needed since this is supposed to be a very casual game.
Overall, while not as big as New Super Mario Bros. U, The Smurfs 2 is definitely a working game that does not meet negative reception unlike the dung that was Smurfs Dance Party and the DS only The Smurfs game. The DS version of The Smurfs has different gameplay and watered down graphics.

Possible Future of Technology in Video Gaming
The Four major consoles for the 8th Generation include Nintendo Wii U, Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, and Valve Steambox which each have different media distributions.
Nintendo Wii U uses optical discs and has digital downloads tied to the console itself but cannot play any Blu-Ray or DVDs. Since the Super Nintendo, Nintendo consoles have been behind on media distribution compared to competitors. The Nintendo 64 was the last Console to use cartridges instead of discs though the Fifth Generation disc based consoles(3DO, PlayStation, Saturn) but played better 64 bit graphics than the usually 32 bit PSone. GameCube used discs but smaller ones than normal CDs and had a small cube size in hardware but suffered from lower hardware specs than PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The Wii had normal sized discs but were not DVDs like the Xbox 360. You couldn't play DVDs on your Wii. The Wii did have online capabilities and features such as digital downloading like the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 but failed to have the hardware strong enough to last as much as either PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. When the Wii U was released, not only did it set back it's predecessor Wii by two generations but also outpowered Xbox 360 and in some cases even PlayStation 3. Wii U at launch had a charming appeal in crisp graphics and HD. Despite this, it still cannot play DVDs or Blu-Rays. To this day, there has been no Nintendo console that has used traditional discs such as CD's, DVD's, nor Blu-Ray's, even though Wii U is one generation ahead of the Blu-Ray PlayStation 3. Instead, Nintendo has it's own special optical discs which are neither CD, DVD, nor Blu-Ray. Nintendo has been making consoles two generations before Sony and the former once competed with Sega. Future Nintendo consoles are likely to support casual and some hardcore gaming while at the same time being less advanced than competitors but cheap. The Wii U unlike the Wii can play hardcore games that the Wii could never accomplish. Plus, the Wii U Gamepad adds appeal to gaming so the Wii U has a change of healthy longevity, unlike the Sega Dreamcast.
Sony PlayStation 4 will have a Blu-Ray player just like it's predecessor. Blu-Ray's will have more longevity than DVDs due to the former's ability to extend data capacity and increase quality of picture and sound. Though there are HD DVD's, Blu-Ray discs are made for HD from the start and PlayStation 3 is likely to outlive Xbox 360 and Wii by several years(4-6 years est.) due to it's advanced hardware and better quality in picture thanks to blu-ray superiority over DVD technology. Sony entered the console market in 1994-5 with the CD-Rom based PlayStation, competing with 3DO, Saturn, Jaguar, and N64. The PlayStation outsold all competition combined and became the first console in history to sell over 100 million units. Though the N64 had better graphics than PS1 from the start, the latter appealed to a broader base plus upgraded it's dualshock controller to include two analog sticks, something never seen in the video game industry before. The Dualshock controller was considered the most advanced controller due to button functionalities. The PlayStation 2 was released in 2000 and crushed Dreamcast due to the former's broader base of abilities. The PS2 not only had more advanced selection of games and better hardware specs than Dreamcast but also had a DVD format which was new at the time. Dreamcast only had CD based games. PlayStation 2 was able to outlive it's competition by several years and wasn't disconnected until 2013. When PlayStation 3 was released in 2006, it was expensive($500-600) and bulky compared to Wii and Xbox 360 but has not only better hardware but also a blu-ray player, which was also new and just one generation ahead of DVD. For it's first years PS3 wasn't as popular as Wii or Xbox 360 due to PS3 being pricy and bulky, which made Xbox 360 more preferable to hardcore gamers in Early to Mid 7th generation and Wii more appealing to Casual gamers. However overtime, Xbox 360 and Wii got old and PS3 was becoming more appealing due to it's advanced technology. As blu-ray was expanding, PS3 was rising above the inferior 360 and Wii. PS3 has gone from less appealing in 2006 to more appealing in 2010. Today, Xbox 360 and Wii are becoming more like relics like the PS2 with the Wii aging faster towards retirement as less games are being made for it now than several years ago. Combining the longevity of PS1-3, it combines to be approx. 31 years combined longevity and this longevity is consecutive for three generations (5th-7th). Plus, PS3 also supported HDMI from the start which is not available for Wii and pre-2010 Xbox 360 models. PlayStation 3 will likely survive for several more years, even after the Wii and Xbox 360 are discontinued. PlayStation 4 has a higher GPU and better hardware unit making gaming more enjoyable due to better graphics than Xbox One. It has a 500 HDD which can be replaced and will have the best graphics of any gaming console to date. PlayStation lasted for 11 years, PlayStation 2 lasted for nearly 13 years, and I anticipate PlayStation 3 will last until 2020 as Sony has promised to keep PS3 going as long as demand flows and that demand will flow until 2020. If this pattern follows, PlayStation 4 could continue well into it's 15th anniversary. Thank advanced hardware and broad appeal in game selection. Plus, could the PlayStation 4 sell more than 7 times the units as it's strongest competitor? Could even sell more than 250 million units by the end of it's lifespan if it reaches more than 15 years of longevity.
Microsoft Xbox One will also have a blu-ray player, leaping from the DVD format of Xbox 360. Xbox One is not only a gaming console but a TV box and movie player and is geared more towards broader entertainment categories which is probably why Xbox One will have more compromised graphics than PS4. Microsoft entered the console wars in 2001 with the Xbox, which has not only the most advanced hardware in it's day and possibly better graphics but also had a HDD which could store saved game data without a memory card. Xbox had the most advanced multiplayer of it's time with not only four players split screen but online multiplayer, giving birth to Xbox Live, which became a smashing success for the online multiplayer community, something PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube were incapable of doing with some exceptions. Xbox 360 came 4 years after Xbox despite the latter being the most advanced. Xbox 360 despite having only a DVD drive compared to PS3's blu-ray drive was a bigger success than PS3 for it's first five years. When Kinect was released in 2010, it was more like a prototype but an awesome concept which will be upgraded with Xbox One. Xbox One features are some which no other console has ever had before such as voice command, Kinect functionalities, entertainment abilities, etc. The Xbox One will feel different from the PlayStation 4 as the former has lower graphics specs than PS4. Plus, Xbox One can't reach the same popularity as PS4. I anticipate that while Xbox One won't be a commercial failure, it will certainly fall between the longevity of the Xbox(7yrs) and the Xbox 360(11yrs anticipated).
Valve Steam Box will be a PC style digital download console that uses Steam software, which is currently used for PCs. Unsure what this expensive yet impressive console will look like or what specs it will have exactly but it will use Steam software and give themselves their own console, becoming the fourth longest competitor in the console wars to date. It would be Valve's first generation for video gaming unless you count the PC and Steam as a gaming console. Steam has been around since mid to late 6th generation of gaming with it's home being for Microsoft Windows. Steam doesn't have peripherals themselves because Steam is integrated with PCs. Valve finally decided to make a dedicated PC gaming console that runs on Steam software. Valve will likely make their PC style console's digital downloads only as Steam has been digital download. In the end, Valve should be given credit as having a console that competes in the 8th generation of gaming. The difference between a PC and Steam Box is the latter is built specifically for gaming wheres gaming PCs are made for a wide variety.
Each console has their own advantages such as the Wii U being easy to develop, Wii U Gamepad abilities, and casual gamer experience; PlayStation 4 being more effective, more marketable, more popular, more powerful, and the most high end gaming system to date; Xbox One having HDMI in and voice command abilities, and overall entertainment varieties that PS4 isn't fully capable of, and better cloud computing; Steambox is PC specifically for gaming, easy digital downloads, uses Steam software, and will be lightweight.
I also hear Google is set to reveal an android based console this fall. This could change the course of what home consoles can be. I heard the next thing after Blu-Ray discs are HVD discs which can hold up to 6TB.Of course, any android or iOS based consoles will be digital downloads in the form of apps. Another option would be to make optical discs for playing games like Nintendo.Only time will tell as Apple and Google have yet to have their own consoles, the PlayStation 3 has several more years until it exceeds the lifespan of the PlayStation 2(2000-2013) and it's only a matter of several years until we find out if Xbox One will fall between living 7-11 years and whether Wii U will survive to 2020.

Epic Mickey 2: Power of Two review
For Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, and PlayStation Vita.
Epic Mickey 2: Power of Two is the sequal to the well beloved Epic Mickey game. Although it does have a decent story, decent character designs, and some decent gameplay, it has numerous flaws that ruin it as a great game.
Gameplay Good vs. Bad. What's good about this game is the story to the sequal makes sense as it involes the Mad Doctor lying about being a rehabilitated ex-villian, even helping fix Wasteland after it's devastating earthquake. Ortensia, Gus, and the Gremlins are not believing this and summon Mickey to help investigate. Gameplay is mostly done with Mickey as player one and Oswald as player two. You have the choice of playing just as Mickey or involving both characters in co-op mode. It seems more fun in co-op as this game is centered on playing as both Mickey AND Oswald. Mickey can either paint or erase certain objects in the game which is important for advancing such as erasing obstacles and painting assets. Oswald uses electricity and can fly like a helicopter.
What's bad here is the less pleasing controls. You may find yourself needing to use Oswald but you'll need to have another controller handy to do so. Oswald does have AI when not in use by human player but there could be times when Mickey's jumping isn't good enough for them too high ledges. Mickey can also hang onto Oswald when helicoptering but it won't last too long. Plus, camera angles just seem so out of touch. By that I mean you have to try harder to align the cameras to an appropriate angle.
Graphics on the other hand aren't much of an improvement either. For a Wii game, it's fine but for Wii U it could have made more detail to the environments. The character designs however are great and the design does give a feel of early 20th century Disney. Had this game had more polish to it's environments, graphics would be fine for more advanced consoles.
Overall, Epic Mickey 2 is very disappointing and on some instances insulting to Disney's Mickey Mouse. Epic Mickey 2 could have been a great game, especially for the Wii U but instead was filled with comprmise after compromise. Ain't That A Shame?
Final rating gets a 69/100

Turbo Super Stunt Squad review
For Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, 3DS and Wii U
Turbo Super Stunt Squad is a stunt/racing game that has a very casual nature and by that I mean the gameplay is simply to earn performance points by doing variety of stunts and moves. You must complete some goals to unlock new arenas and characters. There is also two player mode as well. There is no racing with opponents however as there is none I know of. How disappointing is that? For-shame. Content however is not lacking as there are beyond several environments to play in which must be unlocked in timed mode however. This game overall is a fair rip-off of Tony Hawk's Pro Skate as controls make you see similarities.
Graphics on the other hand are average for a casual game like this with higher definition with HDMI ports that come for PS3 and Wii U. I found it best to play on a console with HDMI port plugged in and a larger HD TV vs. SD TV and analog input.
There's really not much for me to say as while this game feels short and gameplay more like Tony Hawk's Pro Skate games, it does have variety in content for a casual game like this. If you really want skateboarding games, try Tony Hawk's Pro Skate series instead.
Final rating receives a 69/100; 72/100 for HDMI HD TV

Need For Speed Most Wanted U review
This is an enhanced version of Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012 and it is for the Wii U. It was released March 2013 and this version includes many new conveniences that other versions don't have.
First, the overall gameplay truly fits the title and overall gist of the game. The premise of this game is Need For Speed racing where you race to gain reputation as Most Wanted and have numerous cars to race in. Many great racer cars have included but not limited to BMW M5, Chevrolet Camero, Porsche 911, Ford F-150 Raptor, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Lamborghini Gallendo, Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG, Koenigsegg Agera, etc. Gameplay also involves fleeing from police as they will be scanning for illegal street racers across the open world city of Fairhaven City. Plus, there are plenty of speed cameras, EA billboards, security gates, and jumps to pass by. Speed points are awarded based on performance in the game which is your key to advancing to taking down more Most Wanted racers. While the controls may feel a little jerky, the game is perfectly playable. When you place 1st or 2nd in a race you receive new parts for your car that improve it's performance.
Second, Graphics are great for this game as it really feels more crisp when you have HDMI input with state of the art system of it's time. It's in the 4th generation of Need For Speed Games but you don't notice a difference in graphics until the middle or end of NFS generation. Graphics could improve more even before it's next generation.
What's the difference between the Wii U version and others? The Wii U version includes new gameplay experiences such as co-op mode where one player uses Wii remote or Wii U Pro Controller and the other uses the Wii U Gamepad for assistance such as shaking off cops and reducing traffic plus aiding in navigation. You can play this game using the Wii U Gamepad which you can access new features unavailable on other versions such as a Map mode which shows a more detailed map of the area as well as finding jackspots used to access more cars and switch places instantly as well as finding other things. You can even change the time of day and switch traffic on and off. Use the Wii U Gamepad to change mods and switch cars and most cars are already available in the game.
However, I do find that while this game is one of the best Need For Speed games, it still has it's disappointments. One disappointment is not having the same buy/sell mode of cars in which you have currency to spend and buy cars like in NFS: Most Wanted 2005. Another disappointment is not having the option of playing as police. There could have been separate stories made and the police mode could have been unlocked after completing part of the racer mode campaign. Imagine if Hot Pursuit didn't have the ability to play as cops as well as racers.
Otherwise, this game is one of the best in the Need For Speed franchise. Open World racing for racing to love. The Wii U version gets a 92/100 while all other versions(PS3, Xbox 360, Windows, Vita) excluding iOS/Android/Kindle Fire versions get an 88/100
