iPoe Vol 1 is written by Edgar Allen Poe. He lived from 1809-1848 & this particular story was written in 1842. Visuals look amazing & stories are spectacular. You can clearly see while reading of Poe's romanticistic novel stories. Sounds & music feel like the story & reading to me will never be the same of simply imagining what music the book comes with because the music is in the page you're reading! Detail put into this working title!
Presidents vs. Aliens is a simple game where you answer a multiple choice trivia question about U.S. Presidents, then slide the image coin of the correct president on the ipad. The objective is to knock down aliens on the screen by sliding president coin towards the aliens. Levels vary on difficulty & amount of aliens varies as well. For every three consecutive correct answers, you get a random power up. Backgrounds include landmarks of Washington D.C. You unlock a new president for every level completed which will unlock two new mini games depending on amount of presidents unlocked. A fun game to play despite being as simple as the ones found in the arcade during the 1980's & 90's. Only this time it's for a high tech app. So awesome is the simple gameplay here & display of presidential portraits in fine color either vintage for early presidents or modern for recent ones. I'm thinking of an idea for a Total Drama mini game based on this.
Captain Underpants finally came to app/android devices & is read in high quality by narrator. visual displays look great & reading is wonderful here as well with several mini games involved which are average to positive. Reading on the internet in front of computer or tablet is better for me than reading a traditional hardcopy book. The difference in visuals between the book & app is identical but the app has narration without having to align the reading to a tape recording. However, I felt the mini game controls were not feasible since you may find yourself struggling between tilting the tablet in a maze while trying to avoid mishaps when screen flips over.
