Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix review
Only for PlayStation 3. Three Incredible Stories, One Unforgettable Adventure. This HD compilation of Three Kingdom Hearts stories comes to PlayStation 3 with ther option of being able to play it at HDMI resolutions of 1080i and 1080p besides the 480 and 720p resolutions that are for many PlayStation 3 games.
Final Mix is an HD remake of the same game that was released for PlayStation 2 back in 2002. The game itself has a wonderful story to it with many Kingdom Hearts and Disney characters. Gameplay consists of combat and magic as it is much like a third person platformer. It controls pretty well but for moving the camera you steer left to move camera angle right and steer right to move camera angle left, which can bring confusion. The story on the other hand will make you want to keep playing till the very end. Graphics have also bween updated to bring a more crisp aspect to gameplay. The HD remake of this game is more worth than the original version.
Re:Chain of Memories is a card based battle game similar to Pokemon but having gameplay similar to that of other Kingdom Hearts games. The graphics for one have been updated for a crisp HD look. This game has a different story mode to it with Sora plus Donald and Goofy being trapped in Castle Oblivion with rules based on cards, voiding their magic powers. Gameplay consists of using cards such as swinging your sword which isn't unlimited as you have cards this time. Even getting from map to map requires the correct card. However, it does fit with the story in this story of past memories. Sora's friends such as Donald and Goofy can be summoned in combat for aid but alas, Donald and Goofy are trapped in cards. This game is fun however and does have a suitable and unique story with great characters, though not as extensive as Final Mix.
358/2 Days for this version isn't a game but an HD remaster of HD cinematic cutscenes and some of what the game played and that's it. It was pretty lazy of them to do that but visual graphics look fantastic as the other two games in this HD collection.
In final conclusion, this HD remake is truly worth the buy.
