Have you ever noticed how Walt Disney Resorts, Universal Studios Resort, Cedar Fair, and Six Flags are the best amusement park corporations in the World. Walt Disney Resorts are currently the biggest amusement park company in the World with Magic Kingdom claiming award for most attendance. Disney is able to captivate tourists in Orlando, Florida by their rides and attractions. Not only are there Disneyland and Disneyworld in California and Florida respectively but also in Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong and coming in December of 2015 Shanghai.
Universal Parks and Resorts are also successful being themed around Universal Studios and having resorts in Hollywood, California; Orlando, Florida; Osaka, Japan; and Singapore. Future sites also include Hwaseong, South Korea and Dubai, UAE.
Six Flags may not have big resorts but has lots of rides and theme parks.
How can I make an awesome theme park resort like Walt Disneyworld and Universal Studios? Resorts have an awesome theme centered around it making guest stays enjoyable as well as having awesome themes in amusement parks. Magic Kingdom made family vacation time magical and I can recall some awesome rides at Disney theme parks that use cars for roller coaster trains like Rock n' Rollercoaster at Disney Hollywood Studios, Test Track at Epcot, and Radiator Springs Racers at Disney's California Adventure.
My theme park resorts will have spectacular attractions and rides and themes that will make it one of the best parks in the world. Question first is where shall I build this dream resort and how will I raise money? I would have to place it in an appropriate spot where tourism thrives. For example, I've been pondering placing it near Townsville, Queensland, Australia since Queensland is renowned for beautiful nature and thriving tourism. Plus, Dubai, United Arab Emirates has a thriving tourism industry as well as considering Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. So many places but only question is how far will it go? What kind of parks would I create?
Getting Ideas from Cruisin series from the late 1990's such as USA, World, and Exotica by making themes of their race tracks. I would make certain sections of the park be seperate for example having Italy be it's own district like Epcot only bigger.
Ameriworld would feature Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, U.S. 101, Redwood Forest, Beverly Hills, LA Freeways, Death Valley, Arizona, Grand Canyon-Mt. Rushmore, Iowa, Chicago, Indiana, Appalachia, and Washington D.C. which would be situated on West-East seperation in the park. The park would have a highway style main road for people to walk on.
Wacky Worlds Adventure will allow you to explore Hawaii, Japan, Australia, China, Egypt, Kenya, Russia, Germany, England, Italy, France, Mexico, New York, Florida, and the Moon. Seperation would be situated by continent such as Asia-Pacific(Hawaii, Japan, Australia, China), Africa(Egypt, Kenya), Europe(Italy, Germany, England, France, Russia), and North America(Mexico, New York, and Florida) with the Moon being saved for the last.
Exoticaland will feature Korea, Amazon Rainforest, Hong Kong, Alaska, Las Vegas, India, Ireland, Atlantis, Sahara Desert, Holland, Tibet, and Mars. I would sort by landscape such as Urban(Hong Kong, Korea, Las Vegas), Countryside(Alaska, India, Ireland, Holland) and Uber-Exotic(Sahara Desert, Atlantis, Tibet, Amazon Rainforest, and Mars).
Of course I could in the future add new parts to these parks or reserve them for other resorts.
Where to place? It would have to be where tourism is thriving and lots of land is there. I've been thinking about Queensland and finding open spaces for such a resort. Maybe I could place this resort in Baja California Sur as well. I could have multiple resorts like Walt Disney World resorts has them in not only California and Florida but France, Hong Kong, and soon China. Each Disneyworld park is different though and I might make my resorts different.
Another awesome idea for theme parks is making Rapture and Columbia theme parks and introducing people to a world of plasmids and vigors as you explore these failed utopias and ride thrilling rides while exploring worlds you won't get in real-life. I would call it Bioshock-World. Would Bioshock-World be seperate from Cruis'n Resorts? I would make it so. I would probably have to think this through.
Resorts however should be centered around their themes such as a Columbia themed resort being themed around Early 20th Century North America being called Soldier's Field Hotel and Rapture themed hotel being built around an ocean theme dubbed Adonis Luxury Resort. Cruis'n resorts would be themed around non-historical North American and World themes such as one being themed on the Far-West, Alaska/Yukon, New York, New England, Atlantic Canada, Australian Outback, Oriental(Japan/China), African Safari, European, and Latin American resorts. Walt Disney Resort has many resort hotels.
I would have to start small though as Disneyland was small and was just an ordinary theme park of it's time but grew larger with more resorts and another theme park dubbed California Adventure. DisneyWorld when it opened in 1971 had one theme park(Magic Kingdom) and three lodgings(Contemporary, Polynesian, and Wilderness). As decades went by, three more theme parks(Epcot in 1982, Hollywood Studios in 1989, and Animal Kingdom in 1998) and nearly two dozen more resorts. So many different amazing themes your head will spin. Putting a big daddy statue in the Adonis Luxury Resort and a George Washington Motorized Patriot in Soldier's Field Hotel will make the themes more real.
If I start, I should start small and work my way up.
