Saints Row IV will be released August 20(NA) and August 23(PAL) and be said to be the final Saints Row game. However I have some rough ideas for a Saints Row spin off that follows the Third Street Saints while including a new yet fully customizable character.
The main protagonist would be a new younger one called Cuz Reynolds. Cuz is the biological child of Steelport Mayor Burt Reynolds and the maternal cousin of The Leader of Third Street Saints. Saints Row IV Saints Leader will be elected president of the United States. After a heated month after the 2020 elections Congress decides through resolution that Saints Leader is re-elected president but opponent Monica Hughes is vice president. This would lead to tension in the two months to come as the Saints are celebrating New Years 2021 in a resort town in Yemen called Gubahi. Chaos breaks out as student riots emerge and the Saints must escape to safety. This is the mission you first play as Cuz Reynolds who is almost a decade younger than Saints Leader and is escorting the Saints gang to Air Force One plane. After making it to safety, Saints Leader is shot in the head by a sniper but the rest of the Saints Pierce Washington, Shaundi, Oleg, Kinzie Kensington, and Angel De La Muerte escape on the Air Force One plane back home. Monica Hughes is inaugurated president as a result, Pierce Washington becomes the leader of the Third Street Saints, and new gangs appear across Steelport, Stilwater, Peliopes, and Gubahi. Cuz Reynolds is appointed by Pierce Washington to be Saints enforcer. Keep in mind characters are subject to change as I don't know much about Saints Row IV yet. Some other affiliates like Burt Reynolds and Viola DeWynter return and have relationships with Cuz, though Burt is the father of Cuz and Viola will develop affection for the male Cuz. It will also be revealed that Viola married Zimos and has a child with him but sadly Zimos dies of prostate cancer the year before, leaving Viola a widow with a fatherless child. The story will also center around a conspiracy brought by occultists from the Illuminati and that the gangs the Saints fight off are all working for the Illuminati Jewish Mob. Another conspiracy is Monica Hughes staged a coup against The Protagonist to rise to power. The Saints also come under investigation by the federal government and Cuz must stop them.
Mission structure should be the same as the first two Saints Row games being gangs can be conquered separately but there are four waves of gangs with the first being the New Deckerstars ran by the traitorous Matt Miller who has reconquered much of Steelport alongside the New Luchadors run by another wannabe Luchadore who succeeded Killbane. The Syndicate in SRTT is now dissolved and the three gangs(Morningstar, Deckers, Luchadores) are now separate with the Morningstar and Deckers merged into one and Luchadores having a new leader. They also own parts of Stilwater as well. Cuz must clear out these newly reformed gangs once part of the Syndicate and battle the next wave of gangs known as the New Triads and Fiorello Mafia which will control parts of Stilwater once Stilwater itself is unlocked. The two new cities will be Peliopes, Brazil and Gubahi, Yemen(which is another resort town like Dubai). There will be a Saints main storyline that will run simultaneously in some sorts with the gang arc storylines. These will unlock new cities after conquering a certain amount of territory while a certain part of the game will require you to conquer all territory which will not be required until a later part of the game, most notably when reaching Gubahi, Yemen. The Peliopes arc will have Three new gangs dubbed Razanados, a Colombian Drug Cartel; Battaglia Mafia, another Sicilian Mob; and the Wiccas, a Haitian Voodoo gang. You will have to conquer all territory before advancing to Gubahi, Yemen where you face off against the Mudjaheeds, an Islamist Jihad; and the Kibbutz, the Jewish Mafia.
Activities will differ based on city but will include not only nearly all Saints Row series activities but include some new ones, possibly ones canceled in previous games. You can also purchase cribs and customize them like you could in Saints Row 2. Activities will bring rewards like it did in Saints Row 2 with unlocked cities having upgraded rewards. Plus, respect will also give you upgrade opportunities on abilities and weapons such as sprinting longer and gaining more health. You can also use respect to purchase access to locked cities before you go through the story. Respect will be earned the same way as in Saints Row The Third. Same diversions will be available but some will vary based on city.
You can travel from city to city by going to the airport and selecting a flight. Example would be going to Wesley Cutter International Airport and choosing a flight to Stilwater, which will take you to Stilwater International Airport. Cars will differ from city to city as Cuz flies by plane between cities. Each garage will be different depending on city with the exception of Airplanes and between Steelport and Stilwater Boats. Cuz can also travel by boat between cities but only between Steelport and Stilwater. For Peliopes and Gubahi, Cuz will have to travel by Plane.
Gangs will occupy territory by neighborhoods instead of regions like Saints Row The Third. Pet disappointment with Saints Row The Third was that it steered away from the mission structure of the previous Saints Rows. Gang territory would be occupied by completing missions or strongholds. Stilwater would be unlocked after conquering 50% of gang territory in Stilwater with each of the two gangs in Steelport owning 50%-50% of conquered territory. The New Deckerstars and Luchadors also have some territory in Stilwater. I would also want to make a feel of enjoyment in this game such as including restaurants, shops, cinemas, and cribs of pleasure. Making this game feel real is important to bringing back not only the good ol' days of Saints Row 2 but making an awesome new start with not one, not two, but four open world cities and a shocking twist story. Plus adding new characters would be an awesome idea such as Viola DeWynter's paternal cousin Ronnie DeWynter whose maternal grandfather is Mr. Wong. Ronnie could be the new Johnny Gat.
I don't want to reveal any important spoilers since it would spoil the story. I will say after Saints Row IV, it's time for a new beginning while returning some Saints Row nostalgia.
