For Nintendo 3DS. Released in March of 2013. Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon is a ghost hunting game where Luigi must go after the now hostile ghosts of Evershade Valley. Professor E. Gadd tasks Luigi with capturing these hostile ghosts who were once friendly. Luigi is the protagonist tasked with bring peace back to Evershade Valley.
Gameplay involves using the Poltergast 5000, an advanced vacuum capable of being used as a weapon to suck some obstacles and catch those hostile ghosts. There are five mansions to explore in and the game plays perfectly. Controls work very well and what is interesting is Luigi uses a modified Nintendo DS console as a smartphone which he uses to communicate with Professor E. Gadd. You can collect coins and you have to find keys to advance to new rooms. This game does have one fair challenge there. This game does have a simplistic charm to it. I do feel some gameplay is repetitive.
Graphics are stunning for a 3DS game and you can see how awesome the display is. This game made no hesitations in quality. The sounds were suitable and the display was amazing.
You typical platformer that looks a lot like Ghostbusters.
Final rating: 89/100 for gameplay, 97/100 for graphics, 99/100 for story, and 85/100 for lasting appeal
Final Rating is a 92.5/100.
