Blast From Past: Honda ATV Fever

Honda ATV Fever is a racing game for Wii and DS. Released in 2010, ATV Fever has you racing on dirt tracks riding ATVs. I find this game enjoyable as a racing game and Wii game not only for being functional but also managing to look amazing despite having some grainy feel to it.

Gameplay has you racing on dirt tracks riding ATVs. This game functions like a good racing game but this game can feel repetitive at times in advancing to unlocking new content such as ATVs and tracks. The physics work very well as it at times feels like actual ATV racing. This game does have it's own achievements. Tracks do have variety in them and do fit very well into this game. Controls work very well and while the AI can be lazy at times, it can really catch up to you and racers easily catching up to you presents a great challenge. I like that this game is challenging but can be too easy at times, especially with the awesome turbo boost which is not only fully charged by the beginning of the race but also regenerates slightly by doing off-road ramp jumping.

Graphics are colorful and detail was put in as much as possibly into this game for a Wii title. The graphics do look somewhat grainy like PS1 graphics but the color and detail make me overlook that. Plus, it's a Wii game so what do you expect with a game like this? I also like how the game's sounds manage to be much like other racing games. Environments and design manage to look as real as possible for a Wii game.

Honda ATV Fever manages to be a great racing game that is fun. Final Verdict for this game is an 8.5/10.
+Great Racing
+Colorful Graphics
-Can Feel Repetitive and Too Easy at times
