Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports mostly define the Kinect for Xbox 360 as they've integrated Xbox Avatar system with Kinect gameplay. With the Xbox One being released and the Kinect 2.0 being it's R2B2, it's worth noting two of the games that started Kinect's role in video game markets.
Kinect Adventures was a launch title for Xbox 360's Kinect and allows you to play in several mini-games and do numerous adventures, collecting badges to get bronze, silver, and gold medals. Gameplay for this game consists of taking advantage of Kinect as much as possible in using your body movements to manipulate controls. While the gameplay seems enjoyable, Kinect Adventures feels short as there aren't many mini-games to play and at times you're just repeating the same game twice in a single adventure(collection of mini-games). Though I did enjoy playing these games, you will tire out by the time one hour has passed. The Lasting appeal for this game will also fade as well. The Kinect for Xbox 360 now looks more and more like a prototype compared to Xbox One's Kinect 2.0. Graphics and display for Kinect Adventures look appealing as there's no frustration to be had there. This game also has a camera which takes pictures of some moves you've made playing this game. I will say Kinect is fun for people who like to see their moves looked at via Kinect's camera.
Final Verdict is 7/10:
+Fun Gameplay
+Great Advantage Of Kinect's Abilities
+Easy Kinect Controls
-Not enough games
-Lacks a Real Lasting Appeal
Kinect Sports also launched with the Kinect and I must say Kinect Sports does have stronger lasting appeal than Kinect Adventures. Gameplay for Kinect Sports consist of choosing between several sports to play in such as bowling, boxing, table tennis, volleyball, soccer, and track & field. I like how the Kinect controls are very responsive and don't frustrate you. You can play against a computer player or other players. I like how the Kinect(despite feeling like Prototype) makes gameplay more immersive with these games as you're not having to swing around a Wii remote hoping it hits the fan. Your whole body is the controller as the Kinect makes gameplay feel more real and you actually feel the heat. Music for this game has been considered great and graphics are fine for this game. I do feel that sometimes playing against the computer player can be awkward as the AI isn't too pleasant. Plus, sometimes the games can feel awkward too but not as awkward as the AI.
Final verdict is 8.3/10:
+Great Kinect Controls
+Good Sport Gameplay
+Great Audio
-Awkward and Lazy AI
