Blast From Past: Wario Land Shake It

A Wii title released in mid 2008, the platforming game Wario Land Shake It has a Japanese Anime animation to it and graphics are like a Japanese Anime Cartoon. I do like the animation of this game. Gameplay centers around platforming gameplay.

Gameplay is a platformer as you play as Wario journey's through Shake Land with him rescuing imprisoned fairies, fighting enemies, and collecting coins. This game does not fall short of capturing Wario's greedy personality as Wario is tasked by Captain Syrup with rescuing the Queen of Shake Land who's been captured by evil King Shake. Wario is attracted by the magic sack which magically creates coins without limit. The gameplay is at time both relaxed and thrilled as you have no strict time limit like New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wario is made to be super strong as he can ram through breakable objects and enemies like a bull. The Wii remote is used to shake coin bags, caged fairies, and even enemies. Wario can slam the ground to manipulate barriers and unbreakable blocks. The gameplay is however repetitive at times since this game revolves aroudn Wario ramming blocks and enemies, rescuing fairies, and collecting coins plus manipulating unbreakable blocks with his super strength(aka ground slam).

Graphics for this game have great animation and the display is just spectacular. I like that it looks like crisp animation and not one of those boring Japanese Anime animations I didn't like watching as a kid. Wario Land Shake It has pleasant animation and graphics to it. It really capture's Wario's personality as he is typically greedy and does not have a heroic look.

Final Verdict for this game is an 8.3/10

+Great Gameplay
+Amazing Animated Graphics
+Capture's Wario's Greedy and Selfish personality
-Repetitive gameplay
-Lasting Appeal not as strong as New Super Mario Bros.
